One maker · One studio · One standard
Khali's Craft Co. started at my kitchen table in Connecticut with a ball of yarn, a crochet hook, and no particular plan. I wasn't trying to start a business — I was just making things because making things makes me happy. A blanket for a friend's new baby. A hat for my neighbor. A bracelet I couldn't stop fiddling with.
People kept asking where they could get one. So I started selling. And somewhere in between the first order and the hundredth, Khali's Craft Co. became real.
I'm Jacqui, and I make everything you see in this shop. Every stitch, every bead, every mug glaze — by my hands, in my studio. No outsourcing, no factories, no assistants. Just me, good materials, and time.
I work slowly on purpose. Speed is the enemy of quality in handmade work. I pick materials I'd want to touch every day — organic cotton, premium merino, genuine stones, locally sourced wool. When I say something is handmade, I mean entirely handmade. From raw material to finished product. That's the only standard I know how to hold myself to.
The principles behind every piece that leaves my studio
No rush. Every piece gets as much time as it needs. Quality can't be scheduled.
I use what I'd put on my own body — natural fibers, genuine stones, sustainable choices.
When you message me, I answer. When something needs fixing, I fix it. No tickets, no bots.
When you buy from Khali's Craft Co., you're not buying from a store. You're buying something I actually made — that I spent real hours on, that I thought about, that I finished and then looked at and thought "yes, that's good." I don't list anything I wouldn't give as a gift to someone I care about.
Supporting small makers isn't charity — it's choosing something better. Better quality. Better ethics. Better story. Thank you for being someone who cares about that. It makes this whole thing worth doing.
Every piece that leaves my studio is something I'm proud of. That's the only quality control I need. If I wouldn't keep it myself, it doesn't go out the door.
